When it comes to health and wellness, it’s not just about the physical body, but mental and emotional aspects, as well. Since we were kids, we have been thought on how to take care of ourselves physically, but rarely emotionally. Here’s a very timely TED Talk by Guy Winch, a psychologist who demonstrate how to do an emotional or psychological build-up to make us resilient to rejections, and failures.

We know the power of the mind is immensely powerful as demonstrated by the placebo effect in clinical trials.

On the other hand, neglecting to implement these psychological hygiene can lead to depression, and many other illnesses like cardiovascular disease, or even result to a decline in testosterone level.

For men, one apparent negative effect of not being psychologically resilient is on his sexual health, and the same is true with women.

Watch and listen to the TED Talk below as you’re gonna learn things you might have heard or know already but you’re not paying attention to it. In other words, you may have already knew it for a long time, but haven’t done it.

Hopefully, after watching the video you would be able to realized how much we missed our emotional part as we mostly focused on the physical part.
